Indicates that there’s unexpected heating in your washing machine.

E23 or F23 The washing machine AquaStop system is responsible for leakage protection, so if you see this error, there could be water leakage. Do not use the washing machine until it has been fixed and turn off the water tap immediately. Please book a repair as soon as possible. Contact us about our Repair & Care option.

AquaStop Hose has been activated.

E25 or F25 Please book a repair. Contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

There is an issue with the turbidity sensor.

6e To clear it, press Power Freeze and Power Cool (or the two top left and right buttons, if the panel on your fridge is different) simoultaneously and hold them for about 15-20 seconds. Ambient sensor error, which may occur after a power outage.

8e It means that the sensor is disconnected or not working. Check the wiring and sensor. You may need to replace the whole thing. Contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Condenser fan error signalling a problem with the fan’s wires. Otherwise, this may be a control board or wiring harness issue.

Defrost function error.

33e Try to clear the code by pressing the upper right and left corner buttons together for 5 seconds, the dispenser should restart and run diagnostics. If not and the error code is still there, you must replace your fill tube heater ASAP. Contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Ice pipe heater failure.

39e Check the wires and water line etc and make sure the ice maker is all connected. Once you detect the problem, contact Samsung and discuss the issue with them. They may provide a new part even if the appliance is not under warranty. Second, this may be related to the lack of water in the ice maker.

Ice maker sensor error.

40e Locate and thaw the frost build up in the fridge. Hairdryers are useful for this.

Freezer defrost malfunction.

84c/84e If there is 84e on the display, it is a very bad sign. The entire DC three speed compressor may need to be replaced. The only way to get tot he locked up rotor is to get into the compressor. 83e/85e/86e/88 If you see this error code on your display, do the following: turn it off or unplug it and wait for 3 to 5 minutes. Then turn it on or plug it back in to reset the system and clear the codes. these codes may occur due to improper functioning of the inverter.

This group of errors may arise from a power outage (83e) and result in current instability at the inverter.

0f Press the Power Freeze and the Freezer buttons simultaneously and hold them for 3 to 5 seconds. Wait until the unit switches into the right mode.

Indicates a so-called “showroom mode”.

Error Code Solution Description
< 25 % when drum full Reset the zero point. See the operating instructions.

< 25 % load is shown on the display when the drum is full. The load is displayed in %.

< 25 % when drum empty It is normal for < 25 % load to be shown when the drum is empty.

< 25 % is shown on the display when the drum is empty.

-0- on the display Turn the programme selector back to the previously started programme.

0-0 is shown on the display when the position of the programme selector was changed after starting the programme. 

888 on the display 888 shows when the machine is in demo mode.

Exit demo mode to get rid of the code and use the machine.

ADD on the display This is not a fault.

ADD indicates that the door can be opened for you to remove or add laundry. If you don’t want to add laundry, you need not do anything.

Any-crease/Chack detergent Use less detergent during the next wash. Follow the dispensing quantity instructions given on the detergent packaging.

A lot of foam has been generated during washing.

Anti-crease/Finish indicator light flashes and Locked comes on Press the start button until the locked indicator goes out.

The selected programme setting was changed while the lock was activated.

Call Service Check whether the lamp for the drum lighting is properly fitted. Switch the washing machine off and disconnect it from the power mains. Remove the lever from behind the detergent drawer panel. Place the lever in the drum lighting slot. Turn the lever clockwise until you feel it stop.

The lamp for the drum lighting is not properly fitted.

Check detergent Follow the detergent manufacturer’s dispensing quantity guidelines.

Excess detergent was used.

Check inlet indicator light flashes. Terminate the wash programme. Open the stopcock. Select the programme and start it again. Clean the inlet filter (2). Remove any kinks or loops from the water inlet hose. Please contact the facility manager or a plumber. Contact Miele Customer Service.

The stopcock is not open.

The inlet filter is soiled.

The water inlet hose is kinked.

The water connection pressure in the water supply pipe is too low.

There is a technical fault.

Ctrl on the display The Remote control function can be deactivated (programming mode P97, programming option 00) to prevent the Ctrl message being displayed at the start of a programme.

The Remote control function is switched on.

Dashes – – – on display and indicator lights flash Close the water inlet. Disconnect the washing machine from the mains and the drain pump will stop running. Remove the laundry from the drum by means of the emergency release. Use a screwdriver to unlock the door. Pull open the door. Contact Miele Customer Service.

The Miele Waterproof system has been activated.

Display texts in another language Depending on the model, you can change the language with the programmable functions or via the “Settings” menu option. The flag symbol on the display indicates the language setting.

The language has been set to a foreign language.

Drain indicator light flashes Make sure that the maximum delivery head of 1 m is not exceeded. Clean the drain filter and the drain pump. Consult the operating instructions for further information.

The end of the drain hose is too high.

The drain filter and the drain pump are blocked.

Enter PIN code The PIN code lock function is active.

Enter the PIN code and confirm the entry.

If you do not want this message to appear in the display the next time the appliance is switched on, deactivate the PIN code function.

Exclamation mark and Technical fault flashing Switch off the washing machine. If possible, disconnect the washing machine from the mains by pulling out the plug. Keep an eye on these points for a while afterwards, as the plastic may weaken and tear. In the event of any damage, the drain hose must be replaced. F20 or heating fault As soon as the required temperature is reached, the wash programme resumes and the time left display starts to run down again.

F34 or door lock Observe the maximum load size in accordance with the operating instructions. Switch the appliance off and then back on again. Wait at least 2 minutes before reconnecting the washing machine to the electricity supply. Switch the washing machine on again. F1 or F2 Contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Indicates a problem with the thermostat.

F3, F4, or F5 Contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Indicates a problem with a defective temperature sensor.

F6 or F7 Check whether the power supply has been cut off. Avoid leaving the door open for long periods of time. Check whether the door is fully closed. Check whether the appliance is cooling correctly. If the cause of the problem is a temporarily elevated temperature inside the appliance, the error will disappear once the temperature has returned to normal. If you are still experiencing issues, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Indicates a problem with the temperature within the fridge or freezer.

F8 Contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Indicates a problem with the defrosting system.

E09 Set the freezer temperature to a colder value or set Super Freeze. This should remove the error code once the required temperature has been reached. Keep the doors closed to improve the time taken to reach the correct temperature. Remove any products which have thawed or defrosted during this error. They can be used within a short period of time. Do not add any fresh produce to the freezer compartment until the correct temperature has been reached and the error is no longer showing. If this warning continues, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

This is likely to occur after long term power failure. 

The freezer is not cold enough.

“—” on the display Check whether the appliance is cooling correctly. Measure the temperature with a thermometer in a glass of water placed inside the fridge. If the temperature is between 4-5 degrees C, the fridge is working correctly. Please note that the cheaper thermometers may show variations of 1-2 degrees or more. Adjust the temperature by turning the temperature regulator or via the control panel. If the error still persists, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

The temperature inside the fridge is lower than 0°C.

0 or Square flashing on the display Contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Indicates a problem with the sensor of your appliance.

ER CE Restart the connection to Wi-Fi. Witing might be damaged if the door has been removed. contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Indicates defective wiring – electric noise. (French door fridge freezer).

HI Check if a Door Open alert is active or has been active recently. Avoid leaving the door open for a long time. Has a power failure occurred for a long time? Please note if this unit connected to the internet only recently. Have you recently loaded a lot of food into the compartment? Press any key on the UI and the display shows the highest temperature reached for 10 seconds, then set the temperature. Please book a repair if the problem hasn’t been solved or contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

High temperature alarm.

EO1, EO2, EO3, EO6, EO7 Contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Indicates a sensor warning.

EO8 Error code EO8 indicates that the power supply to the appliance has dropped below 170V. This is not an appliance failure, this error helps to prevent damages to the compressor. The voltage needs to be increased quickly back to required levels. If this warning persists, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

Low voltage warning.

E10 Set the fridge temperature to a colder value or set Super Cool. This should remove the error code once the required temperature has been reached. Keep doors closed to improve the time taken to reach the required temperature. Empty the location at the front area of air duct channel holes and avoid putting food close to the sensor. If this warning continues, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

The fridge compartment is not cold enough.

This error code is likely to occur after a long power failure, or when hot food has been left in the fridge.

E11 Check if Super Cool mode is activated. Set the fridge temperature to a higher value. Check if vents are clear and not clogged. If this warning persists, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

The fridge compartment is too cold.

Mains voltage is occasionally too low, or fluctuates significantly. 

F121 Switch the appliance off and back on again and check that the water inlet is open. If the problem persists, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

The ice cube maker is defective.

F141, F142, F143 Close the fridge compartment door.

The fridge compartment door has been open for 15-45 minutes.

F144, F145, F146 Close the freezer compartment door.

The freezer compartment door has been open for 15-45 minutes.

F383 Undo the kink so that the fresh water can flow through the water inlet hose.

The fresh water inlet hose (if present) is kinked.

F383 Remove the water container, clean the surface underneath the water container, and line up the water container on the guide rail. Then push it back as far as it will go.

The water container is not correctly fitted. 

F383 Check whether the float switch inside the water container moves when the container is shaken. If the float switch is jammed, clean the water container and remove the blockage.

The float switch in the water container cannot move freely.

F383 Set the desired temperature in the freezer section to -18°C for at least 48 hours.

There is a software fault.

F383 Proceed as follows to check whether the magnet is still there. Slide the ice cube maker drawer into the top compartment of the freezer section. There is a holder clipped to the left hand handle of the door. The magnet is located behind the holder. If the fault persists, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

There is a fault affecting the magnet for activating ice cube production (including the water intake).

F384, F385 Disconnect the appliance from the mains. After 2 minutes, reconnect the appliance tot he mains. Switch the appliance back on. If the appliance can be operated, reset it to its factory default settings under the “Settings” menu option. If the fault persists, contact us about our Repair & Care option if your appliance is broken.

The refrigeration appliance software has crashed.
