Our Key Moments

2006 | Where it all began
Founded in 2006, we have grown into a trusted appliance maintenance company supporting households across the UK. Our founders set out to transform the satellite care industry by raising the bar for service and insurance standards. That mission led to the launch of Satellite Repair Services Ltd, right here in the beautiful coastal town of Bournemouth. -

2008 | Building trust
We became one of the first satellite care providers to be regulated by the FCA and expanded our cover to include TV breakdown and accidental damage. -

2010 | New offices in Hampshire
The company blossomed with the opening of a new call centre in Southampton. -

2011 | Becoming Home Appliance Guard Ltd
After adding white and brown goods like washing machines, dishwashers and games consoles to our product range, we rebranded as Home Appliance Guard Ltd. This expansion allowed us to offer broader insurance protection and move closer to our goal of keeping customers’ homes running smoothly. -

2017 | Acquired Appliance Serve and rebranded to Zest!
With the business growing and the acquisition of Appliance Serve, we knew it was time for a brand that matched our ambitious vision. We set out to create a name that reflected our energy and passion in an otherwise dull insurance market, and one that could become a true household name. And so, Zest was created to lead the way in home appliance insurance. -

2019 | Welcoming Reactive
We welcomed Reactive into the Zest family as part of our continued expansion. -

2022 | A new home for our insurance HQ
Following continued growth, we needed new offices that reflected our vision and supported our goal of becoming the zest place to work. To keep pace with our expansion in the insurance sector, we renovated spaces at Poole Road and Midland House in Bournemouth town centre. -

2025 | Launched our digital customer journey
As we broadened our product range, we introduced a new service plan called the Appliance Care Plan. This allowed us to focus on building a seamless digital journey, giving customers the ability to take out cover with us easily and efficiently online.
