Error code E20 usually indicates a drainage problem, often caused by a clogged filter or drain hose.
Locate the Filter
Find the small access door on the bottom right-hand corner of the machine.
Drain Water
Place a shallow bowl or tray under the filter area to catch any water. You may need to use a separate drain hose or the small emergency drain tube to empty the machine first.
Open the Filter
Turn the filter counter-clockwise to open it. You may need to unscrew it to remove it completely.
Clear Blockages
Remove any lint, hair, or other debris from the filter and the pump housing. If you can see the pump impeller, try to rotate it with a pencil to ensure it moves freely.
Check Drain Hose
Make sure drain hose is not kinked or bent such that water could be prevented from draining.
Inspect Hose for Clogs
Disconnect the hose form the sink drain and check it for blockages. You can also try running a wash cycle with the drain hose placed in a bucket to see if the water drains properly.
Verify Hose is at Correct Height
Ensure the drain hose is connected at the correct height according to your user manual. It should not be too low or too high and should not be inserted too far into the drain.
Run a Cycle to Test
- After clearing the filter and hose, turn the machine back on.
- Run a short drain or spin cycle to check if the error is resolved.
- If the error persists, it may indicate a problem with the pump itself, and professional service may be required. C0ntact us about our Repair & Care options if your appliance is broken.
